The necessary recommendations will be submitted to the Cabinet Division within the next one month to compensate the victims of e-commerce and protect their interests.
Additional Secretary of Ministry of Commerce AHM Safiquzzaman came up with the disclosure while talking to reporters.
On Monday (October 18), a meeting on bringing e-commerce companies under supervision was held with Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Commerce AHM Safiquzzaman in the chair.
He said, “The ministry is working on e-commerce registration and licenses. A recommendation on the accused institutions and on the compensation and protection of the interests of the victims will be sent to the cabinet division.”
The incidents taken place have caused a lot of damage and the committee and the government are trying to cure this loss and prevent the recurrence of the loss.
It was the first meeting of a committee set up by the cabinet division to decide what to do to protect the rights of consumers who have been deceived by the unethical business of e-commerce.
