NRB Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mamun Mahmood Shah has resigned citing personal reasons. He resigned about two weeks before the contract was due to expire.
On January 21, Mamun Mahmud Shah sent a resignation letter to the chairman of the bank and said that he could not continue his job due to some personal reasons.
Earlier, MDs of four banks resigned last year. Among them, three MDs have been reinstated by the central bank.
When asked about this, Mamun Mahmud Shah said, I was not getting relief working in the bank. It doesn't feel good. So I resigned last January 21. Board accepted it.
According to NRB Bank's website, Deputy Managing Director Shakir Amin Chowdhury is currently serving as the Acting Managing Director of the bank.
