Garment industry labor movement-discontent, not about workers. It is a movement to destroy the garment sector, which accounts for 84% of export earnings. Even after accepting all the demands of the workers, as their movement is going on, it can be understood that the third party is behind it.

Industrial entrepreneurs said these things at the general members' exchange meeting of BGMEA on 'What can be done to eliminate the ongoing unrest in the garment industry' organized at the capital's Galpo Garden on Saturday (October 5). Forum President MA Salam presided over the meeting. Industrial entrepreneurs of the garment sector spoke at the event.

Nexus Group Managing Director Abdur Rashid Hossaini said, one demand to everyone including the elite of the country is to identify those who do not pay the workers' money and smuggle the money. Because of them, the real owners are in trouble. We will pass everyone's words to the authorities.

Lutfar Amin, former director of BGMEA, said, "No one is talking about the solution to the campaign against us." Threats of vandalism are ongoing. Although my factory is not vandalized, the condition of the neighboring ones is not good. Army men come and talk, police don't come. Nothing could be sadder if the entrepreneur was arrested after running the factory for 18 years.

BGMEA former president Rubana Haque said the Chief Adviser is upset with the garment sector, looking for solutions. He will also talk about the price of Bayer. We are ready to go to him and present our demands. We have to sit with the Chief Adviser without thinking about any party.

Mahmud Khan Babu, Managing Director of Raijong Group, said that we have been demanding to bring those who break the law under the law. This problem was also in the past, why will it not be solved now? It is the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies; they are not performing or cannot perform the duty. The minimum salary in my 6 factories is Tk. 24 thousand. It should be delivered to all civilized society.
