Parliamentary Standing Committee has summoned Anti -Corruption Chairman (ACC) Iqbal Mahmood and the concerned Investigating officer over Basic Bank scam.
On Thursday (Oct.31) in a meeting of Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs Standing Committee it was decided that in the next meeting of the committee the presence of the two have to be ensured.
In the meeting committee member Barrister Fazle Nur Tapash MP informed the directives of the High Court in bank scam.
The Standing Committee expressed annoyance though there is clear directive of the High Court; ACC is not taking any action against the accused. In this perspective the two officials of the ACC were summoned by the committee.
