Faridpur district administration arranged special revenue conference on Saturday (Dec.7) with a vow to build up ‘people’s friendly revenue administration’ in the revenue administration in the district in the coming days.
Deputy Commissioner, Faridpur Atul Sarkar addressing the revenue officials of the district in DC’s conference room attending the special revenue conference said that ‘you are the main pillars of land revenue collection’. ‘Depending on you, the administration flourished’. Issuing a warning Atul Sarka, who happens to be chief revenue official said that ‘you must look that for you mistakes people do not suffer. Now revenue officials are given enough facilities but mistakes happen frequently. But when your facilities were less then there were less mistakes’, he added.
He also said that without land management you cannot serve the people so you must know land management well to ensure services on behalf of the government.
The conference was chaired by ADC (Rev) Md. Aslam Molla while it was attended among others by Local Government deputy director Md. Maniruzzaman, ADC (Gen) Roksana Rahman, ADM Md. Mohammad Humyun Kabir and ADC (Education & ICT) Dipak Kumar Roy. It was attended by the revenue officials including the grass root level workers of the district.
It was learnt from conference sources that an amount of Taka 16 crore was collected as land revenue from the district for the year 2018-19. Best revenue collectors were given crests as incentives.
