Lyricist Fazal-e-Khuda dies from coronavirus

Eminent lyricist Fazal-e-Khuda died of coronavirus at Suhrawardy hospital early Sunday.

He was 81. He will be buried at Rayerbazar graveyard.

The eminent lyricist penned the iconic patriotic song “Salam Salam Hajar Salam” which inspired seven crore people of the country during the Liberation War in 1971.

His “Salam Salam Hajar Salam” song has secured top 12th place in BBC's ever best 20 Bengali songs list in 2006.

On March 9, 1941, the popular lyricist was born in Bongram village under Bera upazila of Pabna.

Fazal-e-Khuda began his career In 1963 as a listed lyricist with Bangladesh Betar and retired as a director.
