Dhaka: Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai earlier this month for coronavirus as well as pneumonia and respiratory problems. The renowned Indian musician is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital. 

About the health of this legend a post from her verified Twitter account has been posted with an update on the star's physical condition. "Lata Didi is in the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She is undergoing treatment. She was placed outside the invasive ventilator on an experimental basis this morning (January 27). Seeing her physical stability, she was kept out of the ventilator. She is being monitored by a team of doctors under the supervision of Dr. Pratit Samdani. We thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes. ”

Meanwhile, two days ago, a post was made on Facebook by Lata Mangeshkar's family. They said the rumors about the 92-year-old musician should not be taken care of. They will give all the updates about the physical condition of Lata.
Politician and former actress Smriti Irani has also made the same request to the fans.

Lata Mangeshkar was born on September 28, 1929. She started working as a professional vocalist in 1942 at the age of 13. Then she did not have to look back.

She has sung in thousands of films in seven decades. She has sung in 36 regional languages and foreign languages of India. She sang many more songs outside the film. 

From 1974 to 1991, She was named in the Guinness Book of World Records for recording the most songs in the world. During this time she sang more than 25,000 songs in 20 languages. But her younger sister Asha Bhonsle broke the record in 2011.

Lata Mangeshkar has so far received numerous honors including Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan. She received Dada Saheb Phalke Award, National Film Award three times, Filmfare Best Female Playback four times, Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993 and Filmfare Special Award twice in 1994 and 2004. Besides, 12 times Bengal Film Journalists' Association Award.
