Popular music director Bashudev Ghosh died of cardiac arrest shortly after 10 p.m on Sunday (Dec. 27). Being fallen sick when he was taken to BIRDEM Hospital in the capital, he was declared dead by doctors on duty. The lyricist and journalist A. Mizan confirmed the news of his death to barta24.com.
Mizan said doctors at BIRDEM Hospital pronounced him dead at 11.15 pm. His body was taken to the house at Maghbazar. I'm on way to his home.
The body of Bashudev Ghosh will be taken to Kanungo Para in Boalkhali, Chattogram at night. His last rite will be held there.
Bashudev Ghosh started directing music since 1995. His list of popular tunes includes 'Tomar Oi mantakey dhulomakha path kare dao', 'Tumi hariye jaouar shomoy amay shange nio’, 'Ami khuje berai ma’, 'Ei kare kete gelo barati bachar’, ‘Deho Medal'.
