Dhaka: The Nobel Prize is considered to be the most prestigious award in the world. US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after mediating Israel's historic peace deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Norwegian four-time elected lawmaker Tibring-Zedde nominated Donald Trump for this year's Nobel Prize, according to US media Fox News.

On Trump's name proposal, he said, "I think he (Donald Trump) deserves more than the other nominees for the Peace Prize for establishing peace between countries. In terms of his merits, I think he has done more to bring peace to the country than most of the people nominated for the Peace Prize. '

"Hopefully, other countries in the Middle East will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, and this agreement can become a 'game changer', transforming the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity," Christian wrote in the nomination letter.

On last August 13, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed to normalize relations with Israel. Donald Trump announced the "historic agreement" between the two countries. This is the third agreement between Israel and an Arab country since the country's declaration of independence in 1948. Earlier, Egypt signed agreements with Israel in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
