Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has died (Innalliallahi wa Inna Ilahi Rajeun). He was 91 at the time of his death.
He died in a US hospital on Tuesday (September 29) while being treated in a Hospital, Qatar-based newspaper Al Jazeera reported.
Born in 1929, Sheikh Sabah was considered the architect of modern Kuwaiti foreign policy. He served as Kuwaiti foreign minister for nearly 40 years from 1963 to 2003.After the death of Sheikh Jaber al-Sabah, he became the Emir of Kuwait in January 2006.
He was admitted to the hospital once more in 2019. Al-Sabah was on a short trip to the United States due to illness. He even dropped the schedule for President Donald Trump's visit.
Amir Sheikh Sabah, who had been suffering from various physical complications for a long time. His appendix was removed in 2002. Two years later, a pacemaker was transplanted into his heart. In 2007, a hospital in the United States underwent a urine surgery.
