Dhaka: The coronavirus situation in South Korea is getting worse again. A total of 1,030 new corona patients have been identified in the country.
According to the Korea Agency for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), 580 people have died in 42,006 infections in the country so far in Corona. However, the country had the second consecutive record as the state with the initial success of controlling Covid-19. And now the third stage of the fight against this virus is going on.
This is according to a report by the news agency Reuters on Sunday (December 13).
President Moon Jae-in reported 950 new infections in South Korea on Saturday (December 12th), the report said. He urged police, military personnel and public medical doctors to order the prevention of the infection. He called it a "state of emergency."
He said schools in Greater Seoul would be closed under 2.5 level restrictions, only the necessary staff in the offices would be allowed and gatherings of more than 10 people would be banned.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Chung Si-kyun said that if the expansion continues, it will be necessary to tighten the social distance limit at the highest level of the country, which will be virtually locked for the first time in Asia's fourth largest economy.
Note that since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the country in January, South Korea has been praised for its first success in virus transmission without lockdown, relying heavily on contact and testing.
