The Department of Drug Administration has approved the import and emergency use of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University-AstraZeneca in Bangladesh.
On Monday (January 4), the department issued NOC to Beximco for importing vaccines. As a result, there is no obstacle to bring the India’s Seram Institute vaccine in the country.
Major General Mahbubur Rahman, Director General of the Drug Administration, told reporters, "We have issued a No Objection Certificate." They (Beximco) can now bring the vaccine if they want.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited applied for NOC.
