President Donald Trump will leave Washington on Wednesday morning, January 20, ahead of the swearing- in of US President-elect Joe Biden. He will begin his next life at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, news agency AP reported.

Trump has said he will not attend the swearing-in ceremony, although it is customary for the outgoing President to attend the handover ceremony. Trump plans to hold his farewell ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, the headquarters of Air Force One, the aircraft carrying the President to Maryland outside of Washington. Trump will leave for Florida after the farewell ceremony.

Trump is the fourth President in U.S. history not to attend the swearing –in function.

Despite allegations of vote rigging and fraud, Trump has promised a peaceful transfer of power after the attack on the Capitol building. He accused of vote rigging in the November 3 US presidential election. However, he could not present any specific evidence in support of the allegations. His campaign camp filed more than a hundred cases alleging vote rigging. None of them could prove it.

Meanwhile, Trump was impeached in the House of Representatives on January 6 for allegedly inciting an attack on the Capitol. Donald is the first U.S. president in history to be indicted for the second time.
