Eminent British journalist Simon John Dring, a true friend of Bangladesh, passed away at the age of 76.
Ailing Simon Dring, also a television producer and presenter, breathed his last while undergoing surgery in his abdomen at a London hospital on Friday (July 16).
He left behind his partner Fiona and two young children, Ava and India.
He was one of the foreign journalists who risked their lives and reported on the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971 from the field.
