At least 25 soldiers have been killed in clashes with anti-government protesters in Myanmar. At least 200 army members have been killed in the country in the past two weeks, including 85 in the last three days. News from BBC and The Guardian.

The British media BBC and The Guardian said that the army intercepted anti-junta protests in the northwestern city of Saginaw on Thursday (October 28). At least 25 soldiers were killed in clashes between the two sides.

The report added that since October 19, there have been 130 violent incidents in the country in violence and protests. At least 200 soldiers were killed in the incidents, according to the junta's defense ministry.

On October 27, 40 soldiers were killed in a clash with the anti-junta Kaulin People's Defense Force (KLPDF). Another 20 soldiers were killed in separate incidents outside the village of Kiunbintha.

On the other hand, more than a thousand civilians have been killed in law enforcement crackdowns on dissidents in the country since the military coup on February 1 this year. At least 8,500 people have been arrested in anti-junta protests since the coup.

Incidentally, on February 1, the country's army Chief Min Aung Hlaing led army staged a coup in Myanmar. The overthrow of Aung San Suu Kyi marked the end of a decade of fragile democracy.
