Former Army Chief General (retd) Aziz Ahmed has been declared persona non grata in the United States. His US visa has also been revoked.
It is learned that he has been informed of this decision through a letter.
The United States is thought to have decided to oust him following Mr Aziz's allegations of corruption and irregularities in Qatar-based Al Jazeera.
