The Taliban celebrated two years of taking power in Afghanistan. On this occasion, security was increased in the capital Kabul on Tuesday (August 15).

Al-Jazeera reported, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement, "We welcome the fighters of Afghanistan on the second anniversary of the victory of Kabul." I asked them all to thank Allah.

Claiming that Afghanistan's security system has improved after assuming power on August 15, 2021, Zabiullah said, "Now security has been ensured throughout the country." The entire country has come under a single leadership. Islamic system has been established.

The United States and its NATO allies launched a military operation in Afghanistan on October 7 in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Within a short time they were able to oust the Taliban. But, the Taliban started a guerilla war. The West left Afghanistan in August 2021, leaving the 20-year war unresolved.

The Taliban captured the capital before the last flight carrying US and NATO allies left Kabul on August 15. Before that they occupied almost the entire country. Meanwhile, President Ashraf Ghani, loyal to the West, left Afghanistan in a special plane.

Despite the Taliban's claims of security, the country has seen several suicide bombings in the past two years. The local Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for most of the attacks. The Taliban are at odds with IS.

According to a recent UN report, the situation of women has worsened since the Taliban took power. Women above the age of 12 cannot now study in the country. Women are excluded from almost all government jobs. Their work in NGOs has also been banned. A ban has been imposed on women traveling alone.

Two years after coming to power, the Taliban is still not recognized by any country in the world.

However, countries including the United States, China, Russia, Qatar, Iran, India, etc. have been in informal contact with the Taliban. The Taliban must recognize women's rights in order to be recognized by most countries.

Although women's rights have been grossly violated by the Taliban, freedom of speech and media freedom are at a corner, corruption has decreased somewhat. Moreover, opium cultivation is also decreasing.

However, the country's economic situation is quite fragile. So to speak, there is no foreign investment. As a result, there is a huge shortage of employment. About two-thirds of the country's total population is dependent on foreign aid.
