Dhaka, (Barta24.com): In my early life while in school I was habituated in celebrating Independence day and Victory day  enjoyment very much. In early morning I woke up and went to school attired with the festive dress and participated in all the programs of the school. Those were some special moments of my life. The introductory program started with the chorus of national anthem and still it is going on which will last to time immemorial.

After those days were over the important days could not be observed in that style practically due to reality. Though my mind are always filled with those old memories. However it cannot be denied that the early days celebration memory reawakens with patriotism in one’s mind if particularly while outside the country because it is with my existence.

The Independence day was celebrated at Rwanda of Africa along with Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, J.I Mamun, Munni Saha and myself along with our families in a befitting manner. Why it will be not be befitting because there were also a group of important citizens from Bangladesh who also participated in the jubilation. Though they came here for a different purpose they did not hesitate to give us time in the day’s celebration which truly inspired us all living in Kigali of Rwanda.

Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh in Rwanda Mohammad Iqbal Hossain joined us whose leadership and active participation created enormous interest in us. Besides, from Bangladesh there were CEO of Ekushey TV Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Bangladesh Protidin Editor Noem Nizam, J I Mamun and Munni Saha of ATN Bangla and musician Chandan Sinha who was adjudged best play back singer in the National Film Festival in 2013. Though Shaymal Saha was with us but he could not participate because he had to leave before March 26.

I just reminisced my early age memories when we all participated in the chorus of singing of national anthem at the good arrangement of Munni Saha and also my wife.

I hope in the coming days these important days can be successfully observed gradually involving the local people so that they can learn the glorious history of Bangladesh. In the speech which we all delivered contained the spirit of Independence and to work unitedly in the interest of the country. The speakers also urged upon all not to do anything that might damage the image of the country.

It is very positive that many people and some organizations (Asha & Brac ) have started to establish their model in Rwanda and in future it will definitely expand. It may be mentioned here the world famous micro-credit lender as ‘Asha model” in the banner of Asha International had started functioning from 2016 and has won the sentiment of the local people.
