‘Mosquitos from Bangladesh behind dengue outbreak in West Bengal’

Mamata expressed her concern as ‘Bangladeshi mosquitoes might have played an active role’ in recent outbreak of dengue menace in West Bengal, Anandabazar Patrika reports.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alerted people residing in adjacent areas of Bangladeshi border, about the spread of dengue from neighboring country.

She made the remarks speaking at ‘Save Green, Stay Clean’ campaign at Nazrul Mancha on Thursday at Kolkata.

The West Bengal chief minister said, “Dengue fever rushed in Bangladesh worryingly. We have to be alert about the dengue outbreak from the neighboring country.”

Aedes mosquitoes can be spread in the border areas of the two countries. Citizens who are ailing from dengue virus at both countries can also carry viruses.

we have to be alert about the possible dengue outbreak in West Bengal, Mamata added.

She emphasised to be alert in traveling border areas.
