Due to fall of the circulation and profit, the famous news paper of United Kingdom is going to be sold. It has been disclosed in a report of BBC on Sunday (Oct.27).

According to the reports the owners of Telegraph Media Group (TMG) Sir Fredric and Sir David Brakely have given advertisements to sell their all properties including the daily Telegraph and the special edition of Sunday Telegraph. They have taken the decision due to huge fall of profit.

In the annual statistic of TMG group it was found that the profit of TMG was 9 lakh Euro in last fiscal year which is 94 percent less than the previous year. This led to the disposal of the Telegraph.

The news of the Telegraph sale was first circulated by the Times.

However, the news of the Telegraph sale is not new this time. Earlier there were rumors of Telegraph selling but the owners denied then.

According to Telegraph sources, in the previous years 3 lakh 10 thousand 586 copies were published daily. While on Sunday it has come down to 2,44,351 copies.

According to BBC the Telegraph might be sold within next 12 to 18 months.

Sir Fredric and Sir David Brakely purchased the paper in 2004.

The potential purchasers include Daily Mail, owner of General Trust, the Independent and the owner of the Evening Standard Alexander Lebedev.
