The Returning Officer (RO) of DNCC has declared the nomination papers of six mayor contestants as valid except that of GM Kamrul Islam of JP. His nomination paper was cancelled.
On Thursday (Jan.2) after securitization by National Local Government Institute the RO of DNCC made this declaration.
He told the JP candidate that we have seen your nomination paper. You are not a voter of City Corporation. We have cross checked it several times. So we are unable to accept your nomination paper.
