Coronavirus claims 107 in Italy

The prevalence of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Italy is increasing day by day. According to latest news, 107 citizens of the country died of the deadly virus. The number of people suffering from this disease has risen to 3089. Researchers and the concerned fear that the number of affected and deaths may increase in the country.

It was reported Wednesday (March 4) by the Italian Health Preservation authority.

Meanwhile, 276 people suffering from coronavirus after recovery taking treatment have returned home, the health ministry said.

The Italian government has taken several steps to prevent Covid-19. All schools, colleges and universities in Italy have been closed from Thursday (March 5) to Sunday (March 15). Besides, football leagues, night clubs and museums have been closed.

The country’s health ministry has directed to the citizens that if it is not urgent to avoid public places and not to travel. Citizens have been directed to stand to stand one meter away from each other.

Although none of the Bangladeshi expatriates in Italy have been reported to be infected with the disease, they have become scared of various rumors and horrors. Last Monday, a sudden rumor was spread in Bangladeshi community has been infected with the virus in Milan. As a result, panic spread among them.

When asked whether a Bangladeshi migrant in Italy was infected with coronavirus, the Bangladesh Embassy in Italy said that no Bangladeshi has been infected with coronas. The Embassy has been in constant contact with the Italian Ministry of Health.

The Help Desk has been opened at the Rome Embassy. Expatriate Bangladeshis have been advised to contact phone number 1500 and 112 if anyone is infected with coronas.

Bangladesh Embassy urges expatriate Bangladeshis to be careful not to be paniced about the coronavirus. It is to be mentioned here that there are about 2 lakh Bangladeshis living in different cities of Italy.
