Since announcing the entire country is covered by the Red zone, about 6 crore people have gone to self detention inside the houses in the country. The busiest cities in the country have now turned into ghost towns.

To improve the situation, all types of activity have been temporarily restricted till April 3. Presence of law and order has been increased everywhere in the cities. Most of the offices have already closed. The court proceedings were adjourned until May 31.

Tourist areas are completely empty. All businesses, including hotels, restaurants, have collapsed. Many expatriate Bangladeshis are becoming unemployed.
