Corona takes heavy toll in Italy and Spain

After China, the coronavirus is becoming more and more dangerous in Italy. This time, 368 persons died in the country in a single day. Of those, the death toll in the Lombardia region was 252. With this alarming new record, the total death toll in the country has risen to 1618.

The data was obtained from a report published by international news media AFP on Sunday night (March 15).

According to the report, the total number of coronary patients in Italy so far has been 24,747. And in the last 24 hours 3590 people have been infected causing death to 368 people. Some infcetd 2325 have returned home after recovery.  Coronavirus had the highest number of traumatic deaths in China and now highest in Italy of Europe.

Since the announcement of the entire country under the Red Zone last Monday (March 9) to prevent the virus, nearly 6 crore people have been self detained in their houses. The busiest cities in the country have turned into a ghost city. Everything is closed except the pharmacy and the elementary Shops (food and necessary goods).

Spain in Europe is hit by the deadly coronavirus. In addition to various measures to prevent the epidemic, the country's government has declared a state of emergency in Spain. But disaster did not stop, everyday the number of people affected and dead is increasing.

In the last 24 hours, 155 more people have died. The death toll in this country has risen to 291. Until Sunday (March 15) 7757 people have been infected from Covid-19. Besides, 517 people infected people have returned home after recovery,the country's health ministry said.

The busiest cities in the country have become deserted one. Every thing is closed except pharmacies and super shops across the country.

Laibur Rahman Khan, a Bangladeshi expatriate living in Barcelona said worries and panic are prevalent among the people affected by the coronavirus. We are living a captive life here, the roads are empty. Almost everything is closed here. We are not going out. Law enforcement agencies through loud speakers are forbidding people not to go out. We are in a terrible situation.

Deputy Chief of Bangladesh Mission in Spain M Harun Al Rashid said, every one must abide by the law of Spain and every one must in their respective houses to protect the country. You will assist the country to combat coronavirus. For time being you shall be refrained from going to Bangladesh.
