Day by day coronovirus pandemic has been creating havoc in the European country of Italy.
The death toll from the novel coronavirus has surpassed 5,000 in Europe, with Italy, Spain and Germany reporting a steep rise in infections.
Worldwide deaths surged past 12,000 on Saturday (March 21), according to data collected by the Johns Hopkins University in the United States. More than 299,000 people have been infected, while some 91,500 have recovered.
Italy announced 793 more deaths on Saturday, the second day in a row of the biggest day-to-day increase in the country's four-week epidemic, after surpassing China's death toll on Thursday (March 19).
The total number of deaths in Italy has now reached 4,825. Spain's death toll has also increased to more than 1,300, while in Iran; the number of deaths hit another grim milestone of 1,500 as the country marks the beginning of the Persian New Year.
The Italian government has continued its best efforts to protect people from coronavirus infection. As a result, the emergency situation continued. Movement has also been restricted.
Meanwhile, bodies are being taken to the nearby town of Bargemo for burial grounds in Milan's cemeteries. The local cemetery members are facing physical and emotional stress as they work to bury a large number of bodies.
As corps is constantly coming in, there was crisis of the burial crews. New crew is not available to assist in the burial of coronavirus because of the deadly outbreak.
Today, the city that used to be bustling day and night is now silent. Horns of ambulance siren is playing all around. Every day, the procession of the dead body is getting longer and longer. The city has become as if a Death Valley.
