The Italian Federation of Doctors said in a statement that 23 doctors have died so far in Italy after suffering from a novel coronavirus.
The number is increasing slowly, the statement added. Also a list of infected health workers from Isolation Superior de Sanita was released every evening. If no one died by the virus, it is also reported.
It is reported that out of the 23 killed, 19 have worked in the Lombardy area where coronavirus has affected most.
The remaining four have worked in Naples (South Italy), Emilia Romagna (North Italy) and Marse (Central Italy).
The latest report from the Institute said on Sunday (March 22) that about 4820 health workers in Italy were infected with coronavirus.
