Scientists are trying to find a preventive for the epidemic coronavirus. There are already more than 100 preventive trials around the world. Scientists in China and the United States are waiting for approval of two antidotes for corona. The scientists also claimed that the two drugs for corona are very effective in the treatment of patients.
The two antidotes awaiting approval are: a drug called Remdesivir, developed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on trial e drug Remedesivir and Coronavac manufactured by Beijing-based Sinovac Biotech.
Medicines for remedial action
On Wednesday (April 29), Remdesivir has been shown to be effective in treating patients, said Anthony S. Fauci, a top infectious disease specialist in the United States and director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He said that based on the evidence of all the data, it is seen that the patients suffering from corona are recovering fast as a result of the application of Remdesivir. Remdesivir drug made by Gilead Sciences have previously been used to treat Ebola.
At the White House, Fauci presented a study on 1,063 people from around the world, overseen by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Most of them were given remedial. It has been found that the recipients of Remdesivir have recovered in an average of 11 days.
Coronavac vaccine
The Chinese company Sinovak said its laboratory developed coronavac vaccine will help fight corona. Now they are just waiting for the mass production clearance. The company said it is ready to produce 10 crore doses a year to prevent corona.
Sinovac tested the vaccine on 144 volunteers in April in China's eastern Jiangsu province. There have been 4 trials of the Coronavac vaccine so far. The vaccine has also shown promising results in monkeys. China is preparing for mass production of the experimental vaccine to prevent coronavirus, just waiting for approval.
Sinovac has experienced developing drugs against the virus worldwide. Sinovac Biotech was the first pharmaceutical company to market the swine flu vaccine in 2009.
