The coronavirus is getting weaker as a result of mutations, researchers claim in a new study. In 2003, the SARS virus, a genetically similar coronavirus, was mutated and weakened.
Arizona State University Institute of Biodesign Assistant Professor Dr. Efren Rim and his team have used a new technology. The technology has been able to detect the genetic codes of the coronavirus very quickly which has been referred to as SARS-Cove-2.
On Tuesday (May 5), the US-based media Fox News reported this information.
This technology has helped scientists find out how the virus spread and changed its character.
According to a report published in the Journal of Virology, the researchers examined 382 corona samples, some of which lacked a significant part of the genome.
