AstraZeneca will distribute 400 million shots by 2020. It has entered into an agreement with the Serum Institute of India to supply 1 billion doses to low- and middle-income countries.

The vaccine, developed by Oxford, is called ENCOV-19 (ChAdOx1 nCoV-19) is under trial. Whether the vaccine is effective will be known soon. The UK government will approve it as soon as possible if it proves effective.
