125 Bangladeshis from Dhaka are not being allowed to disembark from Qatar Airways aircraft at Rome Airport in Italy. They will have to return to Doha or Dhaka on Qatar Airways, the country's final government decision has been announced.
Mainul Islam, editor of the expatriate news outlet based in Italy, told Barta News this information. In a report, the Italian news agency Ansa confirmed that 125 Bangladeshis would be sent back to Doha without being allowed to land in Rome.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Italian news agency Ansa reported that all flights from Bangladesh had been banned due to an increase in the number of Covid 19 victims.
The move comes after coronavirus was detected in 21 people on a flight from Bangladesh.
