U.S. President Donald Trump has canceled a Republican National Conference in Florida due to an increase in coronavirus infections. Trump also said in a press briefing that more than 4 million people in the United States have been infected by corona.

"This is not the right time for a conference," Trump said. He will address the conference in any other way.

The Jacksonville Sheriff warned this week that Florida is not ready for political action because of the increased Corona infection. Trump said at a White House briefing on coronavirus on Thursday (July 23) that his decision was "a matter of public health concern."

On November 3 the upcoming presidential election in the United States will be held. The Republican Party was scheduled to formally announce his name on behalf of the party to run in the presidential election.

Trump is running for a second term as Republican in the face of criticism over the pandemic handling by him.

Democrats, meanwhile, are discussing whether to hold a virtual or limited conference to nominate their candidate, Joe Biden.

Earlier, Trump rejected the idea of a limited conference. However, due to the situation, political analysts think that he will walk that path now.
