COVID-19 pandemic has caused huge development challenges for Bangladesh. For post Covid-19 socio-economic recovery, it is important to recognize the contributions of the youth and volunteers and volunteer groups and encourage more young people to join the force. Volunteers are one of the first responders and it is not possible to mitigate the crisis without the crucial help of our volunteers.
United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Bangladesh and Aparajeo Bangla will jointly organize a Live Talk to discuss this great role of youth and volunteers with the title ‘Post Covid-19 Socio-economic recovery: Role of Youth & Volunteerism’
Following the 2nd episode, the third and final episode will be live from both UNV Bangladesh and Aparajeo Bangla Facebook pages on 6th August 2020, Thursday at 8:00 PM BST.
Mr. Md Tazul Islam, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives has been consented to be present as the Chief Guest. Ms Sultana Afroz, Secretary & CEO, PPP, Prime Minister’s Office, Mr Md Akhter Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ms Hasin Jahan, Country Director, WaterAid Bangladesh, Mr Md Aktar Uddin, Country Coordinator, UNV Bangladesh will join the session. Mr. Mahmood Menon, Founder and Editor of Aparajeo Bangla will moderate the session.
