During coronavirus situation, the opportunity given to the government employees to work from home has been canceled. From now on, government officials and employees will have to perform their duties from 9 am to 5 pm as usual at the office.
Public Administration Ministry Secretary Sheikh Yusuf Harun told Barta24.com on Thursday (August 8) afternoon.
He said the special roster system that the ministries had created because of the coronavirus had been scrapped. As a result, government officials and employees have no opportunity to work from home or on the roster. From now on, government officials and employees will have to work as usual from 9 am to 5 pm. All ministries have been asked to implement the directive.
He said there would be relaxation in the case of sick, elderly and child-bearing officials coming to the office. They don't have to come to the office.
On Monday (August 3), the Cabinet Division verbally instructed the secretaries of various ministries and departments. They were told to come to the office as before and work from 9 am to 5 pm. Many ministries have already issued office orders for their officers and employees to implement this directive of the Cabinet Division. The rest are in the process of issuing office orders.
