Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief over the death of Alauddin Ali, an eight-time National Film Award winning lyricist, composer and music director.
In a condolence message, she remembered Alauddin Ali's contribution to the country's music world.
The Prime Minister prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of the deceased and conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, Dhaka North and South City Corporation (DNCC and DSCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam and Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh expressed deep grief over the death of Alauddin Ali.
In separate messages of condolence, the two Mayors prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
In his condolence message, DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Taposh said, Alauddin Ali created a unique trend in the world of music through deep pursuit. As he was able to create his own identity in the world of music, he also held a unique height as a lyricist and music director. His melody and music will be a beacon for the next generation.
The DNCC Mayor said, Alauddin Ali was a magician of melody, multiple songs composed by him can still be heard in the mouths of people today, the melody of each of his songs seems to tell the story of life. And that is why his immortal melodies will last for thousands years.
