The sub-committee on science and technology of Bangladesh Awami League is going to organize a seminar on 'Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina's visionary plan: Perspective 2020' on Bangabandhu and sustainable flood management.
The seminar will be held on Monday (August 31) at 10:30 am at the Council Hall of Engineers Institution Bangladesh (IEB) in the capital's Ramna observing health rules.
Former Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, a member of the presidium of Bangladesh Awami League, will be present as the chief guest on the occasion. Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim will be present as the special guest.
Bangladesh Awami League Secretary for Science and Technology and Member Secretary of the sub-committee Abdus Sabur will give a welcome speech.
The key -note paper of the seminar will be presented by the flood management expert engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board Engineer Md. Arifuzzaman Bhuiyan.
Besides, the former executive director of IWM, Prof. Dr. Monowar Hossain, General Secretary of IEB, eminent water expert engineer Khandaker Manzoor Morshed, Chairman of IEB Civil Engineering Department, International Water Specialist Engineer Md. Habibur Rahman.
The event will be chaired by the chairman of the subcommittee on science and technology of the Bangladesh Awami League, Professor Hossain Mansur. The program will be broadcast live on the official Facebook page of Bangladesh Awami League.
