The total number of corona victims in the police is 16,906. Of these, 15,571 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, another member of the police died of coronavirus. He is ASI (unarmed) Abdul Alim Mollah. As a result, 74 members of the police died after being infected by Corona.
Another Bangladesh police frontrunner was killed in Corona on Tuesday (September 8), police headquarters said.
Abdul Alim Mollah was working in the Sadar Court of Natore District. He joined the Bangladesh Police Force in 1995 as a constable.
He was admitted to Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh, Dhaka on September 5 with corona symptoms. Later, when the condition worsened, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He died at the ICU on September 8 at 2.30 pm.
He is survived by his wife and two children. His village home is Dakshin Tausara of Khetlal police station in Joypurhat district.
The body was sent to the village home of the deceased under the management of Bangladesh Police. There, in the presence of senior officers of the district police, the body was buried in the family graveyard as per the religious formalities.
