Netrokona: So far 10 bodies have been recovered from the trawler capsize incident which took place on Wednesday (Sept.9) morning in Gumai river of Kalmakanda upzilla of this district.
There were a total of 36 passengers in the trawler. Netrokona Deputy Commissioner(DC) Kazi Abdur Rahman has confirmed the matter.
He said a trawler with 36 passengers abroad was going from Madhyanagar of Dharmapasha police station in Sunamganj to Chakurakona area of Netrokona. The trawler sank in the area on the way. Fire service divers are working at the scene.
DC added that 10 bodies have been recovered so far in the trawler sinking incident. Many more are missing. The identity of the deceased persons was not immediately known.
