Development of the country is not possible without technical education. So the government is working on all kinds of development. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal thinks that the ongoing development will be hampered if technical education is not ensured.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding session(Zoom) of the Delegates' Conference-2020 (Friday) at the Kakrail IDEB building in the capital on Saturday (September 12).

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, "We were going to celebrate the Mujib borsho, but the corona virus pandemic came and spoiled everything." The whole world has stopped. Everything in our development stream or communication with each other seemed to have lost its way because of corona.

Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said the country was moving forward at a very high pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, but that pace was halted due to the corona virus. The Prime Minister believes that the country needs to be taken forward through technical education. She (Prime Minister) believes that if technical education does not spread, our development will fall on deaf ears. No matter what we do, if we do not have technical education, we will not be able to maintain the continuity of development.

Referring to the corona virus infection in the country, he said, "When the coronavirus started to spread in the country as well as in the world, we thought a lot." Then I thought we felt like we had stopped. We feel we will lose our way. But the country has not stopped under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh is moving forward with equal pace. Our GDP growth continues to grow even after the March lockdown in the coronavirus. Our per capita income is increasing. This proves that nothing has hindered us. We are moving forward by making good use of the manpower and resources we have.

AKMA Hamid, President of the Executive Central Committee of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) presided over the function while Shamsur Rahman, General Secretary of the Executive Central Committee of IDEB spoke.
