Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has fulfilled the long cherished dream of the people of Haor region. The dream of the people of the area was fulfilled with the inauguration of Itna-Mithamoin-Ashtagram road in Kishoreganj district.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the Itna-Mithamoin-Ashtagram road through a video conference from Ganobhaban on Thursday (October 8) morning. Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was present at that time.
Before inaugurating the road, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in her introductory speech, "If the President had not taken the initiative, we would not have known that such a road could be built here."

The people of Itna, Mithamoin and Ashtagram will no longer suffer as they used to. '
She said, ‘People from Itna, Mithamoin, Ashtagram used to travel by boat in the rainy season, but in the dry season there was no opportunity to travel without walking. That's why there was a saying in the area, don't go there in dry and in the rainy season. Today it is no more, now you don't have to walk on two legs. Now the car, the horse will all run, that arrangement has been made on this scenic road, she added'.
