Charbhadrasan Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jasmine Sultana has affirmed that the call record of Faridpur-4 MP Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury (Nixon) which is being heard through social media is hundred percent true. Meanwhile MP Nixon Chowdhury denied it in a press conference held at National Press Club, Dhaka on Tuesday (October 13)

At the press conference, Nixon Chowdhury MP claimed that the statement I made through social media was motivated. My words have been ‘super edited’ and released in the social media. The voice of the published call record is not of mine.

He challenged the administration to prove that the published call record was not ‘super-edited’?

When asked about this, Jasmine Sultana, Charbhadrasan Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Faridpur, told Barta24.com that the voice call record you are listening in social media is 100% true. Even published call records are accurate up to the full stop, semi- colon and comma. There is no question of editing here. That's what he talked with me which you have heard.

At the time UNO further said that when he (Mr. MP) threatened AC Land, I immediately informed DC Sir in writing in the interest of his safety and sent the audio clip of the unpleasant  abuse in inaudible language.

Faridpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Atul Sarkar was threatened by independent MP Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury alias Nixon over phone to Charbhadrasan UNO and abused AC Land of Bhanga upazilla. The two incidents took place last Saturday (October 10) in connection with the by-election for the post of chairman of Charbhadrasan Upazilla Parishad.

Video and audio clips of these two incidents have also spread through social media. Faridpur district branch of the Bangladesh Administration Service Association, an organization of BCS administration cadre officials, held a meeting on Sunday to seek redress of the incident. The district law and order committee meeting condemned the incident. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's intervention has been sought in this regard.

Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said on Tuesday morning that Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury (Nixon), an independent MP from Faridpur-4 constituency, had violated the code of conduct in the Upazilla Parishad election. He also said that a case would be filed against him if necessary.

Earlier, a letter was sent to the Election Commission from the Cabinet Division seeking redress of Nixon Chowdhury's misconduct.
