Eighteen people died from deadly virus corona while 1380 people were infected fresh with the virus in the last 24 hours across the country.
This information was divulged to the media on Tuesday(0ctober 20) by DGHS through a press release.
According to a press release, the latest deaths and cases of infection have brought the toll to 5699 and 391586 respectively.
The release said that during the time 13611 samples were tested at 109 laboratories across the country making the total test of 2192325 samples. 1542 people have recovered bringing the recovery figure to 307141 so far.
It may be mentioned here that the first case of corona infection was detected in Bangladesh on last March 8 while the first death occurred on March 18.
