Five passengers have been missing after a speedboat capsized in the Agunmukha river in Patuakhali.

The speedboat with 18 passengers sank on its way from Rangabali Upazila to Galachipa Upazila on Thursday evening (October 22). Although 13 passengers were able to swim ashore, 5 passengers are still missing.

Officer-in-charge of Galachipa Police Station Monirul Islam said an incident of speed boat capsize took place. Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot. It is not clear how many passengers were missing and how many have been rescued.
