Community Policing Day observed on Saturday in Faridpur

Faridpur: The Community Policing Day organized by district police was observed on Saturday (Oct.31) at Faridpur in a befitting manner.

To create awareness among the people that ‘Police and People would collectively remove the ills of the society, so trust the police who is waiting your beside’.

In this connection a discussion meeting was held at local Kavi Jasimuddin hall with the slogan “Mujib Borsher Mulmantra – Community Police Sarbatra”

The meeting was addressed among others by Faridpur Zilla Parishad Chairman -elect  valiant freedom fighter Md. Shamsul Haque Bhola Master, District Awami League president Advocate Subal Chandra Saha, Faridpur Pourashava Mayor Sk. Mahatab Ali Methu, District Community Police Convener Prof. Md. Shahjahan, Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiky, Additional Police Super Rashedul Islam, acting chairman of Faridpur Zilla Parisahd Jharna Hassan, Sadar upazilla chairman Abdur Razzaq Molla.

The meeting was presided over by Faridpur district Police Super Md. Almuzzaman BPM(BAR).

Speakers stressed the need for working collectively to face the social challenges originated from law and order situation. They took a vow to remove all the ills of the society out of the purview of existing law. They also opined that many trifling problems can be solved without coming to police.

They laid emphasis on eliminating dug problems which is rising very alarmingly. If the youth is not being kept from this deadly problem then the future of the country might be darkened and all our development will be useless, the speakers opined. The speakers also put emphasis to make the police stations friendly so that the common people can visit the place without any fear or hesitation.
