Police have recovered a small bag of suspicious cloth near the annex building of the US embassy in the capital's Bhatara area. In the bag a knife and a box were found.
The ‘alamats’ were taken by the Counter Terrorism Unit for examination, police said.
Bhatara Police Station OC Muktaruzzaman confirmed receiving the suspicious bag on Wednesday (December 2) evening.
He said a small cloth bag was found in the northwest corner of the US embassy's annex building. In which we have recovered some suspicious objects. Among them are a knife about 6 inches in size and a box. In which some amount of sand and a match box were found.
He said the ‘alamats’ were taken by the counter-terrorism unit for examination.
