President Md. Abdul Hamid has given assent to the three bills passed in the Jatiyo Sangsad(JS) to publish the results of HSC and equivalent examinations without taking the examinations for unavoidable circumstances.

On Monday (January 25), the three bills became law after the president's assent.

Sangsad Joint Secretary Tariq Mahmud Islam confirmed the matter to media on Monday (January 25).

The results will be published any day after the assent of the President. The bill was passed to give the results of HSC examinations on the basis of SSC and JSC examination results.

On Sunday (January 24), Minister of Education Dipu Moni in JS session raised the issue of passing the Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill-2021. Later it was passed by voice vote. Then Bangladesh Technical Education Board (Amendment) Bill-2021 and Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board (Amendment) Bill-2021 were passed.

During the three passes of the bill, the Education Minister said it would take two days to notify the bill after it was passed. Then we will publish the results quickly.

It is to be noted that due to the infection of the global epidemic Kovid-19 virus in 2020, it was not possible to take the test at the madrasa level in the country. In this context, an initiative was taken to amend Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board Act No. 26 of 2020.

In the proposed amendment, if due to pandemic, epidemic, natural calamity in special circumstances or any unavoidable situation determined by the government from time to time, it is not possible to publish the results and issue certificates. The circular mentions the issuance of instructions for evaluation and issuance of certificates in the manner mentioned in the circular which the committee deemed final. Similarly, Bangladesh Technical Education Board Amendment Bill 2021 has been amended.
