Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated coronavirus vaccination program in the country.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday (January 27) inaugurated the program of providing Covid-19 vaccine at Kurmitola General Hospital by virtually joining Ganobhaban.

According to the protocol of the World Health Organization, this antidote brought from India is applied in phases. The vaccine was first administered to Runu Beronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital.

Kurmitola General Hospital doctor then took the vaccine. Ahmed Lutful Nobel, Additional Director of Health Department Professor Nasima Sultana, Traffic Police (Motijheel Division) Didarul Islam, Brigadier General M Imran Hamid of Bangladesh Army. In all, 25 people were vaccinated against coronavirus today.

Runu Beronica Costa, Senior Staff Nurse, Kurmitola General Hospital, received the first vaccination.
Earlier, 200 doses of Covishield vaccine were delivered to the hospital in 20 vials in a cold box from the hospital's expanded immunization program-EPI store. These will be stored here for 72 hours at 2 to 6 degrees Celsius.

The corona vaccination program will start on February 7 in the country, said Health Minister Zahid Malek.
He said the first to be vaccinated would include doctors, nurses, health workers, police, army and media personnel.
