The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2020 will be published today (Saturday). However, on the occasion of publishing these results, the Ministry of Education has completely banned gatherings in educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education announced the ban in a notification on Friday (January 29).

The results will be announced at 10:30 am on Saturday (January 30) through a program organized by the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in the capital. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the announcement of HSC and equivalent examination results through virtually joining from Ganobhaban.

In 2020, 13 lakh 75 thousand 789 students of 11 education boards were supposed to take part in HSC and equivalent examinations this time. The HSC and equivalent examinations of 2020 were canceled due to corona. Instead of taking the test, it was decided to determine the result of HSC by evaluating the results of JSC and SSC examinations. Education Minister Dipu Moni at a virtual press conference on October 7 last year informed this decision.

In order to resolve the legal complexities, a law was passed in the Jatiyo Sangsad on January 24 to publish HSC and equivalent results without examination.

The bill passed on January 24 became law when President Abdul Hamid gave assent to make it law. The government has already issued a gazette in this regard. As a result, even though there was no examination, there was no obstacle in the results of HSC and equivalent level examinations of 2020.

How to know the result of HSC on mobile:
