This time the motorcade of Basurhat Porashava Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza has been attacked.
The attack took place around 6:30 am on Thursday (February 11) on the way from Basurhat in Noakhali to the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner's Office.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants hurled bricks and eggs at Quader Mirza's motorcade at Daganbhuya Bazar in Feni district on their way to the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected parishad of Basurhat Pourashava at the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner's Office on Thursday morning.
When contacted Quader Mirza's mobile phone, he confirmed the incident. He said he would come live from his Facebook account shortly to express reaction to the attack.
It may be mentioned here that Quader Miraza is the younger brother of Awami League General Secretary and Bridges, Roads & Highways Minister Obaidul Quader.
