2 lakh 61 thousand 945 people have received corona vaccine on the 11th day in the country. Of these, 1 lakh 64 thousand 936 were males and 97 thousand 9 were females. Dhaka Division is ahead in vaccination.
So far 18 lakh 48 thousand 313 people have been vaccinated. A total of 537 of them had side effects.
The figures were released on Thursday (February 18) by the Health Directorate's Health Emergency Center and Control Room.
According to the DGHS, 73 thousand 514 people in Dhaka division, 11 thousand 901 people in Mymensingh, 54 thousand 788 people in Chittagong, 32 thousand 224 people in Rajshahi, 25 thousand 579 people in Rangpur, 34 thousand 195 people in Khulna, 14 thousand 444 people in Barisal and 15 thousand 300 people in Sylhet received the first dose of the vaccine.
Earlier, on January 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the immunization program in virtual mode at Kurmitola Hospital in the capital. On that day, 21 people were vaccinated against coronavirus.
Vaccination activities started on February 7 across the country. On this day, 31,160 people were vaccinated across the country. Among them 23 thousand 758 were males and 7 thousand 303 were females.
Meanwhile, the 'Surakkha' app has been launched to make the mass vaccination process easier. From now on, registration can be done through mobile phone. It took so many days to register to get vaccinated through the ‘Surakkha’ website.
