Five more people died from deadly virus corona while 407 people were infected with the virus in the last 24 hours across the country.
This information was divulged to the media on Saturday (February 27) by DGHS through a press release.
According to the press release, the latest deaths and cases of infection have brought the toll to 8400 and 545831 respectively.
The release said that during the time 12348 samples were tested at 214 authorized laboratories across the country making the total test of 4030616 samples. 809 people have recovered bringing the recovery figure to 496107 so far.
It may be mentioned here that the first case of corona infection was detected in Bangladesh on last March 8 while the first death occurred on March 18.
